Select which type of video display you are using. The “Widescreen” setting is for modern displays with an aspect ratio of 16:9, while the “Standard” setting is for conventional displays with an aspect ratio of 4:3.

Digital Jack

This screen allows you to specify the types of digital audio signals that are sent to your audio processor. DVD discs may have one or more of several different types of soundtracks available, including Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG, and PCM. Your audio processor may not be capable of processing all of these soundtracks. Select the setting that corresponds to the capabilities of your audio processor. Please consult the owner’s manual for additional information.

Most modern audio processors are capable of decoding both Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks. If your audio processor has both Dolby Digital and DTS logos on its front panel, select the setting “Dolby Digital/DTS”.
