5-2-2CONDENSER

A condenser is mountedontherear cover andis connectedtothecondensercoil which is wound on

thestator.Thiscondenserandcondensercoil regu- late the output voltage.

5-2-3 ROTOR

The rotor consists of a laminated silicon steel sheet core and field coil which woundis over the core. DC current in thefieldcoilmagnetizesthesteel

sheet core. Two permanent magnets are provided for the primary exciting action.

A coolingfan is pressure-fitted on the endofthe rotor shaft to cool thecoils, cores, rectifier, and other generator parts. (See Fig. 5-4)
