For connections beyond 30 m (100 ft), the LTC 8557 Series Remote Hookup Kit can be used, as shown in FIGURE 3. The LTC 8557 is also required when the keyboard is remoted over a long distance communication link, such as a fiber optic system shown in FIGURE 4.
