Priming the fuel system removes any air bubbles from | ||

Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or |

electrical components can cause a fire. To |

help prevent possible injury, turn the ignition |

switch off when changing fuel filter or water | C | |
separator element. Clean up fuel spills |

immediately. |

The fuel system would only need to be primed under |

• Before starting the engine for the first time. | ||

•After performing maintenance on the fuel system, such as changing the fuel filter or replacing a fuel system component.
To prime the fuel system: |

1. | Make sure that there is fuel in the fuel tanks and |

| that both fuel tank shut off valves (A, Figure 2) are | ||
| open. |
