CONNECTING THE P-TOUCH TO A COMPUTER

This machine is equipped with an interface connector, allowing you to print labels and stamps that you have created with the P-touch Editor software installed on your IBM PC-compatible computer or Macintosh.

To connect the P-touch to the computer:

1Turn off both the P-touch and the computer.

2Insert the small plug on the interface cable into the interface connector on the right side of the P-touch.

Only use the interface cable designed exclusively for this machine.

3On an IBM PC-compatible: Insert the 9-pin plug into the serial (COM) port of your com- puter and tighten the screws to lock it into place.

On a Macintosh: Insert the 8-pin plug into the printer (serial) port of your computer.

4Turn on the P-touch, and then start up the computer.

Interface

5 Hold down Code and press ?

to enter Interface mode.

In Interface mode, the baud rate of the P-touch can be changed by holding down

Style

Code and pressing $

until the desired setting appears (57600 bps, 115200 bps,

or 9600 bps). Release the keys to apply the desired setting.
