Shifting patterns

Satin stitches (No. 32–47 of , selected with

) can be shifted to the left or right by half the width of the pattern, allowing you to create a step- shaped pattern. This is called a “step pattern”.

Select (No. 48 of , selected with ) once to move the stitch pattern to the left by half the width of the stitch pattern.

Select (No. 49 of , selected with ) once to move the stitch pattern to the right by half the width of the stitch pattern.

As an example, the procedure for creating the following pattern is described below.

aSelect (No. 41 of , selected with

).

Press (Decorative stitch key), and then use the numeric keys to type in “41”.

bUsing the numeric keys, type in "49" to select

(No. 49 of , selected with ).

cUsing the numeric keys, type in "41" to select

(No. 41 of , selected with ) again.

dUsing the numeric keys, type in "48" to select

(No. 48 of , selected with ).
