eRemove the bobbin case.

Grasp the bobbin case, and then pull it out.

fUse the cleaning brush or a vacuum cleaner to remove any lint and dust from the race and its surrounding area.

•Do not apply oil to the bobbin case.

gInsert the bobbin case so that the S mark on the bobbin case aligns with the z mark on the machine.

*Make sure that the indicated points are aligned before installing the bobbin case.

hInstall the needle plate cover.

The needle plate cover is installed differently depending on the model.

■If there is a screw in the needle plate cover

aInsert the tabs on the needle plate cover into the needle plate, and then slide the cover back on.

bUse the disc-shaped screwdriver to tighten the screw in the needle plate cover.

■If there is no screw in the needle plate cover

aInsert the tabs on the needle plate cover into the needle plate, and then slide the cover back on.

●Never use a bobbin case that is scratched, otherwise the upper thread may become tangled, the needle may break or sewing performance may suffer. For a new bobbin case (part code: XC3153-321), contact your nearest authorized service center.

●Be sure that the bobbin case is correctly installed, otherwise the needle may break.
