QUICK-DIAL NUMBERS AND DIALLING OPTIONS 5 - 8
Telephone (voice) operation (FAX-1840C and FAX-1940CN only)
You can use the machine to make voice telephone calls by dialling
manually or by using Search, One-Touch Dia l or Speed-Dial
memory. You can use the handset or Speaker Phone
(FAX-1940CN only) to make and r eceive calls.
When you dial a Quick-Dial numb er, the LCD shows the name you ’ve
stored, or if you haven’t sto red a name, the fax number you’ve
stored.

Making a telephone call

Pick up the handset.

Press Speaker Phone (FAX-1940CN only).

When you hear a dial tone, di al the number using the dial pad,
One-Touch, Speed-Dial and S earch.

If you pressed Speaker Phone on FAX-1940CN, speak
clearly toward the microphone .

To hang up, replace the handse t.
