CHAPTER 4 CONTROL PANEL

You can set 4 attributes (Proof, Public, Private and Print only) for each documentation through the printer driver. Documents which have the Proof, Public or Private attributes set will be stored in the HDD and you can re-print these documents whenever you like.

When you want to print a document which is stored in the HDD, you can do collated printing of multiple copies of the document.

When the printer is idle and the optional HDD is installed, when you press the FormFeed button, the printer displays the following messages.

PROOF

∙ The data sent will be printed and stored in the HDD.

 

∙ Anybody can re-print the data from the control panel or the

 

browser.

 

∙ When the HDD becomes full, or the number of documents stored

 

exceeds the document save limit number, the excess documents

 

will be deleted starting from the oldest ones.

 

∙ Anybody can delete the data from the control panel or the

 

browser.

 

 

PUBLIC

∙ The data sent will be stored in the HDD. (not printed)

 

∙ Anybody can re-print the data from the control panel or the

 

browser.

 

∙ Anybody can delete the data manually from the control panel or

 

the browser.

PRIVATE

∙ The data and password sent will be stored in the HDD. (not

 

printed)

 

∙ You can print the data by inputting the password you set from the

 

control panel or the browser.

 

∙ You need to input the password you set when you want to delete

 

the data you stored in the HDD from the control panel or the

 

browser.
