Handling and using special pape r

■Store paper in its origina l packaging, and keep it s ealed. Keep the

paper flat and away from moi sture, direct sunlight and heat.

■The coated side of glossy paper is shiny. Avoid touching the

shiny (coated) side. Load glossy paper with the shiny side facing

down.

■Avoid touching either side of transparencies, because they

absorb water and perspir ation easily, and this may cause

decreased output quality . Transparencies designed for las er

printers/copiers may s tain your next document. Use onl y

transparencies recommended for inkjet printing.

Do not use paper:

■that are damaged, curled, wr inkled, or irregularly shaped

■that are extremely shiny or hi ghly textured

■that were previously print ed by a printer

■that cannot be arranged unifo rmly when stacked

■that are made with a short grain
