CoolingFan Feature

SettingFirst Stage Differential

NOTE: Thethermostat will return to normal operating mode automatically after 15
secondsif no key is pressed. Itwill also return to normal operating mode immediately if
theRESUME button is pressed.
NOTE: Thefirst and second stage differential settings are the same for both the
heatingand cooling systems.
NOTE: Ifyou do not desire to change the second stage differential "d2" setting you can
wait15 seconds and the thermostat will automatically return to the normal operating
mode. Otherwise, you can press RESUME button twice to skip the second stage
differentialsetting and proceed to the residual cooling fan feature setting and refer to step
6below. Pressingthe RESUME button three times will skip the second stage differential
settingand residual cooling fan feature setting and automatically return you to normal
operatingmode.
Thedefault settingsfor the first and second stagedifferentials and residualcooling fan delay
settingsarecompatible with most systems andapplications. This isnormally set at time of
installationandusually does not require any modificationunder normal operatingconditions.
Ifyou feel that thefirst or second stage of your systemis turning on too often, or youwish to
changethe fandelay settings, simply followthe instructions below.

SettingSecond Stage Differential

Thedefault settingis 1˚ F (0.5˚ C). Theroomtemperature must change1˚ F (0.5˚ C) from the
setpointtemperaturebefore the thermostatwill initiate the system in heatingor cooling.

Innormal operatingmode, press & hold RESUMEbutton for 4 seconds. LCDdisplaywill show
"d1x˚",where "x" equals the ˚F / ˚C differentialsetting. This is the currentfirst stage
differentialsetting.
Thedefault settingis 2˚ F (1.0˚ C). Thismeansthat the room temperaturemust change 2˚ F (1.0˚ C)
inaddition tothe first stage differential settingbefore the thermostat willinitiate the system in
heatingor cooling.

Pressthe or buttonstoset the firststage differential to your desiredsetting of 1˚, 2˚,
or3˚ F (0.5˚,1.0˚, or 1.5˚ C).

Pressthe or buttonstoset the currenthour.
3.
PressDAY/TIMEbutton again,the minute portion of the time willflash.
4.
Pressthe or buttonstoset the currentminute.
5.
PressDAY/TIMEbutton again,the day of the week indicator willflash.
6.
Pressthe or buttonstoset the currentday of the week.

Pressthe or buttonstoset the secondstage differential to your desiredsetting of 2˚, 3˚,4˚,
5˚,or 6˚ F (1.0˚, 1.5˚,2.0˚, 2.5˚, or 3.0˚ C).

NOTE: Toerase all entered programs,current time of day, day of week and other user
settings,gently press RESET button using a paper clip or a small pencil tip. Thiswill
returnall Thermostat settings to their default values. Remember,thiswill erase all
programsentered by the user.
Thedefault settingis 60 seconds. DuringtheCOOL mode of normal operationthe fan will stay
onfor 60 secondsafter the cooling system has satisfiedthe setpoint temperatureand has turned
offthe compressor. Thisallows the system to provide higherefficiency during coolingoperation.

PressRESUMEbutton again and the LCD display willshow "d2 x˚", where "x" equals the ˚F / ˚C
differentialsetting. This is thecurrent second stage differentialsetting.

Pressthe or buttonstoset the residualcooling fan delay to
yourdesiredsetting of 0(disabled), 30, 60,or 90seconds.
7.
PressRESUMEbutton again to return to normal operatingmode or
wait15 secondsand the thermostat will automaticallyreturn to
normaloperatingmode.

PressRESUMEbutton again and the LCD display willshow "FAN xx", where "xx"
equalsthe fandelay time in seconds during the coolingmode of operation.
