De 540C V2.0 en 640C V2.0 hebben een Control Bus ingang/uitgang waarmee het mogelijk is ongemoduleerde commando's van de afstandsbediening (logische commando's, TTL-niveau) elektrisch te laten ontvangen door het apparaat en indien gewenst door te lussen naar een ander apparaat. Meestal worden dergelijke besturingsopdrachten gegenereerd door aangepaste systemen (huisinstallaties) of door externe infraroodontvangers.

Er is ook een infraroodkoppeling om gemoduleerde infraroodcommando's van een afstandsbediening elektrisch te kunnen ontvangen. De instructies die via deze ingang worden ontvangen, worden alleen door het apparaat gebruikt en worden niet gedemoduleerd via de Control Bus-uitgang doorgelust.

Deze functie is handig voor multi-room systemen (zoals het Cambridge Audio Incognito multi-room systeem) dat is voorzien van infraroodkoppelingen. In plaats van signaalgevers die op het infraroodontvangst-oog op de voorkant van de cd-speler moeten worden geplakt, kunt u een mono-kabel met aan weerzijden een 3.5 mm mini- stekker gebruiken voor een betrouwbare elektrische verbinding.

Bovendien beschikken deze apparaten over 'directe' IR/bedieningscodes alsmede schakelcodes voor vele functies, die het programmeren van systemen met aangepaste installatie aanzienlijk vereenvoudigen. Via de meegeleverde afstandsbediening kunnen speciale, directe aan/uit-opdrachten worden gebruikt om deze C.I.- systemen als volgt te laten leren:

1.Houd de Standby-knop ingedrukt. De afstandsbediening geeft nu eerst zijn standby(schakel)-instructie. Blijf de knop ingedrukt houden, na 12 seconden zal een "On"-instructie voor de cd-speler worden gegeven. Als u de knop nogmaals 12 seconden ingedrukt houdt, zal een "Off"-instructie voor de cd-speler worden gegeven.

Er is geen stroom

Controleer of het netsnoer stevig is aangesloten.

Controleer of de stekker volledig in het stopcontact is gestoken en of het stopcontact stroom levert.

Controleer de zekering in de netstekker of de adapter.

De speler leest de disc niet

Controleer of de disc niet met de verkeerde kant boven is geplaatst. Controleer of de disc niet te ernstig is bekrast of te vuil is.

Er is geen geluid

Controleer de versterkerinstellingen.

Controleer of de aansluitingen correct zijn.

De disc slaat stukken over

Controleer of de disc niet te ernstig is bekrast of te vuil is.

Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat op een stevig oppervlak staat en niet wordt blootgesteld aan trillingen.

Er komt een bromtoon uit de luidsprekers

Controleer of alle kabels stevig vastzitten.

De afstandsbediening werkt niet

Controleer of de batterijen niet leeg zijn.

Zorg dat het ontvangst-oog voor de afstandsbediening nergens door wordt geblokkeerd.
