Do not operate a power tool in an explosive atmosphere, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the fumes or dust.
Keep work area clean and well lighted. Cluttered
benches and dark areas invite accidents.
Keep children away. All visitors should be kept a safe distance from work area. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Make workshop kid proof with padlocks, master switches, or by removing starter keys.
Do not use in a dangerous environment. Do not use power tools in damp or wet locations or expose them to
rain. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Reduce the risk
of unintentional starting. Make sure switch is in OFF position before plugging in.
Do not abuse cord.
•Never carry tool by its cord.
•Never pull the cord to disconnect from receptacle. Pull plug at outlet rather than pulling the cord.
1.Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
2.Do not use an extension cord unless absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric
shock. If an extension cord must be used, make sure:
•That the pins on plug of extension cord are the same number, size and shape as those of plug.
•That the extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition.
•If an extension cord is to be used outdoors it must be marked with the suffix
•Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage, resulting in loss of power and overheating. The Table titled “Minimum Wire Size (AWG) of Extension Cord for Bench Grinder” shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This tool is equipped with an electric cord having an
