Replacing the Back-up Battery

The back-up battery maintains the camera’s date and time. The battery’s service life is about 10 years. If the date/time is reset upon battery pack replacement, replace the back-up battery with a new CR2025 lithium battery as described below.

Set the <> switch to <> and

1 remove the battery pack.

• The back-up battery is on the ceiling of the battery

pack compartment.

Remove the back-up battery cover.

2 • Loosen the screw as shown in the illustration.

3 Remove the back-up battery.

Install a new back-up battery.

 

• The plus side of the battery must face up.

Reattach the battery cover.

5 • After you install the battery and set the <> switch to <>, the LCD monitor will display the menu for setting the date and time. Follow the steps 2 to 4 on page 148 to set the correct date and time.

For the back-up battery, be sure to use only a CR2025 lithium battery.
