Select a menu tab (

).

Hold down the <

> button and turn the < > dial to select a tab, then let go of

• the button.

Select a menu item.

3• Hold down the <> button and turn the < > dial to select a menu item, then let

go of the button.

Select the menu setting.

4• Hold down the <> button and turn the < > dial to select the desired setting,

then let go of the button. The setting will take effect immediately.

Press the <> button to exit the menu.

5• The LCD monitor will turn off.

• You can also exit the menu by pressing the shutter button halfway.

•In step 1, you can also hold down the <> button and when the menu

appears, you can turn the < > dial to select a menu tab. (Keep pressing the

<

> button while turning the < > dial.)

•Even while the menu is displayed, you can immediately go back to taking pictures by pressing the shutter button halfway.

•The menu can be displayed in one of five languages (English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese). (→p.131)

•Check that the date and time has been set correctly. Each image will be recorded with the current date and time. (→p.148)
