Mounting

Orientation

The Scorpion™ GBC 2.0 and RGY units may be mount ed in any position, provided
there is adequate ventil ation.

Rigging

Be sure that the struc ture onto which you ar e mounting thi s product can support its
weight. See the Technical Specifications section of this manual for weight i nformation.
Mount the product s ecur el y. You can do thi s wi th a screw , a nut, an d a bolt. Yo u could
also use a mounting cl amp if rig ging this product onto a truss. A
lways use a safety
cable. Consider ease of acc ess to the unit for mai nt enance and programming purposes
before deciding on a loc ation for this product
When power linking mul tipl e pr oducts,
always consider the length of the power linking
cable and mount the product s close enough together for cabl es to reach.
The bracket adjustment knobs allow for aimi ng th e pro duct to a desi red a ngle. Do n ot
use tools to loosen or ti ghten the bracket knobs becaus e tools can damage them.

Proper Use
This product is for overhead m ounting only. For safety purpos es, CHAUVET®
recommends mounting your lig hting ef fect prod ucts on steady elevat ed platforms or
sturdy overhead supp orts usi ng suita ble hangi ng clam ps. In all cases, you m ust use
safety cables. You can obt ain appropriate mounting h ardware from your distri butor.
International laser safety regulations require that laser pr oducts must be op erated in the
fashion illustrated b elow, with a minim um of 3 meters (9.8 ft) of vertical separation
between the floor and th e lowest laser li ght vertically. A dditionally, 3 meter s of horizontal
separation is requir ed between laser light and au dience or other public spac es.
