Step 5 Remove the disk1 directory if it exists:
# rm
Step 6 Decompress the compressed tar file and untar the tar file:
#gunzip
#tar xvfp
Step 7 Execute the InstallSSM153Patch1.csh script:
# ./InstallSSM153Patch1.csh
Step 8 Exit from root.
Installing the RTM Proxy Patch
Use this procedure to install the RTM Proxy Patch on the CWM machine. Install the patch only on a CWM machine and only on a CWM machine that has no installed SNMP agent and that SSM has used for statistics management.
The purpose of the RTM Proxy Patch tar file is to work only with the SSM. It is not required for configuring a northbound interface. If the service agent is installed, do not install the RTM proxy patch. It is not needed.
Step 1 Log in to the CWM as user root:
# su
Step 2 Stop the core.
Step 3 Download or copy the compressed tar file to the local directory, for example, /tmp:
# cp
Step 4 Change to local directory that contains the compressed tar files:
# cd /tmp
Step 5 Remove the disk1 directory:
# rm
Step 6 Decompress the compressed tar file and untar the tar file:
#gunzip
#tar xvfp
Step 7 Execute the InstallRTM153Patch1.csh script:
# ./InstallRTM153Patch1.csh
This message appears:

Step 8 To continue the installation using the InstallShield GUI, respond with No.
To continue the installation using Console Mode Install, respond with Yes.
(Console Mode Install is a command line script procedure that is a GUI alternative. It is intended for users who do not have access to an X window device. By using the Console Mode Install, the user can install the CWM with an alphanumeric terminal or a PC in terminal emulator mode.)
