Installing Virtu alDub
VirtualDub is a standalone a pplication and does not need to be “in stalled” like a regular program.
Simply copy the folder to a location on your computer and double-click the application icon to start
VirtualDub.
Insert the Installation CD into y our computer’s CD or DVD drive. Make sure to place t he
mini-CD in the center, recessed we ll of the drive tray.
Navigate to MY COMPUTER and double -click on the CD/DVD drive ic on (usually “D:”).
Double-click on the fol der “Video Transcoder”.
Copy the folder “Virtual Dub” to a location on your computer (e.g., “C:\Program F iles”).
Double-click on the Vir tualDub folder.
Locate the VirtualDub.exe icon. Do uble-click this to star t the VirtualDub program.
Note:
You may wish to create a shortcut to Virtua lDub for your convenience. To create a shortcu t to
VirtualDub on your desktop , right-click “Vir tualDub.exe” and then select “Send To” > “Desk top
(create shortcut)” from the menu that appea rs. You can now run VirtualDub by double -clicking
the new shortcut icon on your desk top.
Using VirtualDub t o Create Movies
Start the VirtualDub a pplication.
Select the source video le to c onvert.
From the top menu bar, select File > Open Vid eo File. Alternately, you may press
Ctrl+O on the keyboard.
