Updating Your Player’s Firmware
Firmware updates may be found on the COBY Electr onics website at ww w.cobyusa.com. Check
this site per iodically for new updates. Firm ware updates may improve perfor mance or add new
functionality to your player.
IMPORTANT: Do not disconnect your player f rom the computer or othe rwise interrupt
the rmware upgrade pr ocess—doing so co uld damage your player and render i t inoper-
able.
To upgrade your player’s rmware:
Download the latest rmware for your player from ww w.cobyusa.com. Save this le to the
computer.
Connect your player to t he computer. Double-clic k the Removable Icon that corresponds to
your player, then double-click the FIR MWARE folder to open it.
Double-click the d ownloaded rmware le (yo u may need a le compression utility installed
on your computer). In the window that appears, se lect the le that ends with “.BIN” and copy
it to your player’s FIRMWARE folder.
Disconnect your player from the co mputer and turn the player off.
Turn the player back on. The player should update its rmwa re automatically.
