Before removing the USB/power connector board, follow these steps:
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
Disconnect the power cord.
Remove the battery (see Battery on page 28).
Remove the following components:
a. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 29)
b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 35) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 39)
d. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 37)
e. Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 43) f. Top cover (see Top cover on page 48)
Remove the USB/power connector board:
1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws (1) that secure the USB/power connector board to the computer.
2. Release the USB/power connector board as far as the USB/power connector board (2) cable will allow.
