Troubleshooting Table
WARNING! Before performing any maintenance procedure, stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
SYMPTOM | POSSIBLE CAUSE | |
Recoil will not | ⇒ Check that the blade hand control lever is properly | |
pull out or is | adjusted and in the released position. | |
difficult to pull. | ⇒ Check the engine oil level, the engine may be seized. | |

| ⇒ There may be an oil compression lock in the cylinder. | |
| Take out the spark plug, hold a rag over the spark | |
| plug hole and pull the recoil cord several times to blow | |
| out any oil in the cylinder. Wipe off the spark plug and | |
| reinsert it. | |
| ⇒ The recoil may be broken or jammed. Try to turn the | |
| engine pulley by hand, with the spark plug wire off. If | |
| it turns, the recoil is broken or jammed. Call 1(800) | |

The engine | ⇒ Is the key in the START position? | |
