DRIVE CONTROL
Thedrivecontrolis locatedon the undersideof the upperhandleand
isusedto engagethe drive. Squeezeitagainstthe upper handleto
engagethedrive; releaseitto slow downor stop mowerfrompropel-
ling.
MULCH PLUG
Themulchplug is usedfor mulchingpurposes.Insteadofcollecting
thegrassclippingsin a grasscatcheror usingthe sidedischarge
chute,somemowermodelshavetheoptionof recirculatingthe
clippingsbacktothe lawn. Thisis called mulching.
RECOIL STARTER
Therecoilstarteris attachedto the right upperhandle.Standbehind
theunitand pullthe recoilstarter ropetostart theunit.
Keephandsandfeet awayfromthechuteareaon cuttingdeck.Refer
towarninglabelon theunit.
CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT LEVERS
Oneadjustmentleverislocatedoneach wheeland is used to adjust
thecuttingheight.All four levershaveto beat the samerelative
positiontoensurea uniformcut.
GAS CAP
Removethegascapto addfuelto thefueltank. Useclean,fresh,
regularunleadedgasolinewithaminimumof86 octane.
OIL FILL CAP/DIPSTICK
Refertothe Maintenancesectionforinstructionsoncheckingtheoil.
SPARK PLUG
Refertothe Maintenancesectionforinstructionson sparkplug
replacement.
