• Open or close the chuck jaws to a point where the
opening isslightly larger than the drill bityou intendto
use. Also, raise the front of your drill slightlyto keep the
drill bits from falling out of the chuckjaws.
• Insertdrill bit intochuck thefull lengthof the jaws.
,_ WARNING: Donot insert drillbit intochuck jaws
andtighten asshown in figure 10.This could cause
drill bit to be thrown fromyour drill resultingin pos-
sible serious personal injury or damage to your
chuck.
• Tighten chuck jaws securely, using the chuck key
provided. DO NOT use a wrench totighten or loosen
the chuck jaws.
• Store chuck key on cord with chuck key strap.
