DBC Network Bridge

5 Advanced Operation

5.2.4 Control Port

The Control Port provides a means for external monitoring and control of ‘objects’ (software processors) within the DBC Network Bridge. It can be used to turn peripherals on and off, send signals to other system components, receive digital and/or analog signals from other compo- nents, and indicate status of the input gates.

The Control Port implements sixteen outputs and sixteen inputs along with power supply outputs and common grounds. Eight of the outputs are digital ‘logic outs’, while the other eight are analog outputs that are capable of digital ‘logic outs’. Eight of the inputs (AIN1-8) are capable of monitoring digital and analog external signals. The other eight inputs (DIN1-8) are digital only.
