Replacing the Hard Drive

Procedure

1Slide the hard drive into the hard-drive cage.

2Align the screw holes on the hard-drive cage with the screw holes on the hard drive.

3Replace the screws that secure the hard-drive cage to the hard drive.

4Place the hard-drive cage on the chassis and slide it toward the bottom of your computer. Ensure that the tabs at the bottom of the hard-drive cage slide into the slots on the chassis.

5Route the power-supply cable through the routing guide on the hard-drive cage.

6Route the optical drive's power and data cable and the B-CAS card cable through the routing guides on the hard-drive cage.

7Route the hard-drive’s power and data cable through the routing guide on the hard-drive cage.

8Connect the power and data cable to the connector on the hard drive.

Postrequisites

1Replace the VESA-mount bracket.
