Replacing the Power-Button Board

Procedure

1Route the power-button cable through the routing guides on the palm rest.

2Align the screw hole on the power-button board with the screw hole on the palm rest.

3Replace the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm rest.

4Adhere the tape to the power-button board.

5Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 9 in “Replacing the Palm Rest”.

Post-requisites

1Replace the hard drive.

2Replace the wireless card.

3Replace the memory module(s).

4Replace the keyboard.

5Replace the base cover.

6Replace the battery.
