Removing the Power-Button Board

Prerequisites

1Remove the battery.

2Remove the base cover.

3Remove the keyboard.

4Remove the memory module(s).

5Remove the wireless card.

6Remove the hard drive.

Procedure

1Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 7 in “Removing the Palm Rest”.

2Peel the tape from the power-button board.

3Remove the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm rest.

4Note the power-button cable routing and peel the cable from the palm rest.
