Troubleshooting the Cooling Fan
Ifyou experience trouble with the coolingfan, make sure the fan cable is plugged into
theFAN connector on the system board.
Troubleshooting Expansion Cards
Ifan error message indicates an expansion-card problem ori f an expansioncard
seemsto perform incorrectly or not atall, the problem could be a faulty connection,a
conflictwith software or other hardware,or a faulty expansion card. Follow these
stepsto troubleshoot expansion cards:
1. Start the Resource ConfigurationUtility (RCU), and verify that all ISA expansion
cardshave been configured correctly.Save the configuration before exiting the
utility.

2. Turnoff the system, including any attachedperipherals, and disconnect the sys-
temfrom the electrical outlet.

inits connector.
