Installing the Expansion-Card Connector

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a cert ified service technician. You
should only perform troubleshooting and si mple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the o nline or telephone service and

covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety inst ructions that came with
the product.
1 Place the expansion-card connector into the expansion-card bracket.
See Figure 3-11.
2 Replace the two screws securing the expansion-card connector to the
expansion-card bracket. See Figure 3-11.
3 Install the expansion card. See "Installing the Expansion Card" on page
77.
4 Replace the system-board assembly. See "Installing a System-Board
Assembly" on page 69.
5 Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system,
including any attached peripherals.

disconnect the system from its electrical outlet.
