Removing a Power Supply
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a cert ified service technician. You
should only perform troubleshooting and si mple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the o nline or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not aut horized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safet y instructions that came with
the product.
CAUTION: The System requires one power suppl y to operate normally.
1 Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and
disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
2 Disconnect the power cable from the power source and the power
supply.
3 Press the release lever and using the handle, slide the power supply out
of the system. See Figure 3-5.
NOTE:
Removing the power supply may require considerable force.
