3Disconnect the power-adapter port cable from the connector on the system board.

4Lift the power-adapter port off the computer base.

Replacing the Power-Adapter Port

Procedure

1Place the power-adapter port in the slot on the computer base.

2Connect the power-adapter port cable to the connector on the system board.

3Align the screw holes on the power-adapter port bracket with the screw holes on the computer base.

4Replace the screws that secure the power-adapter port bracket to the computer base.

1Replace the palm rest. See "Replacing the Palm Rest" on page 31.

3Replace the keyboard. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 16.
