If you ordered a wireless Mini-Card with your computer, the card is already installed.

Your computer has one half Mini-Card slot which supports a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) + Bluetooth combo card, Wi-Fi, and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMax) cards.

Removing the Mini-Card

Prerequisites

1Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 13.

2Remove the keyboard. See "Removing the Keyboard" on page 15.

3Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 17.

4Remove the palm rest. See "Removing the Palm Rest" on page 27.

Procedure

1Disconnect the antenna cables from the connectors on the Mini-Card.

2Remove the screw that secures the Mini-Card to the connector on the daughter board.
