NOTE: If you are installing a hard drive from a source other than Dell, you need to install an operating system, drivers, and utilities on the new hard drive (see "Restoring Your Microsoft® Windows Vista® Operating System" on page 124 and "Reinstalling Drivers and Utilities" on page 121).

Removing the Hard Drive

1Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 131.

2Turn the computer over.

3Remove the four M3 x 3-mm screws and slide the hard drive away from the bay.
