Extracción de una unidad de disco duro de intercambio activo

PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrese de que su sistema operativo sea compatible con la instalación de unidades de intercambio activo. Consulte la documentación incluida con el sistema operativo.

1Extraiga el embellecedor frontal. Consulte “Extracción del embellecedor frontal”.

2Con el software de administración de RAID, prepare la unidad para su extracción. Espere hasta que los indicadores de la unidad de disco duro del portaunidades indiquen que puede extraerse la unidad de forma segura. Para obtener información sobre cómo extraer unidades de intercambio activo, consulte la documentación de la controladora de almacenamiento.

Si la unidad ha estado en línea, el indicador verde de actividad/fallo parpadeará conforme se apaga la unidad. Cuando los indicadores de la unidad están apagados, la unidad está lista para la extracción.

3Pulse el botón de liberación y abra el asa de liberación del portaunidades para liberar la unidad. Vea la ilustración 3-5.

4Deslice la unidad de disco duro hasta extraerla del compartimiento para unidades.

5Inserte una unidad de relleno en el compartimiento para unidades vacante. Consulte “Instalación de una unidad de relleno”.

PRECAUCIÓN: Para mantener una refrigeración adecuada del sistema, todos los compartimientos para unidades de disco duro vacíos deben tener instaladas unidades de relleno.
