9.Push in the control knob all the way and hold in. Immedi- ately light the pilot by pressing the ignitor button until a flame appears one (1) minute after the pilot is lit. Release knob and it will pop back up. Pilot should remain lit. If it goes out, repeat steps 5 through 9, starting on page 23.

If knob does not pop out when released, stop and call gas supplier.

If the pilot will not stay lit after several tries, turn gas control knob to “OFF” and call your service technician or gas supplier.

10.Turn gas control knob counterclockwise to “ON”. Knob can be turned to “ON” only if the control knob is popped out.

11.Set “HI-LO” knob to desired setting.

12.Turn on all electric power to the appliance.

1.Turn off the wall switch.

2.Turn off all electric power to the appliance if service is to be performed.

3.Remove control access panel.

4.Push in gas control knob slightly and turn clockwise to “OFF”. Do not force.

5.Replace control access panel.

OPERATION

Note: All remote control accessories must be purchased sepa- rately (see Accessories, page 28). Follow instructions included with the remote control.

NOTICE: You must light the pilot before using the hand-held remote control unit. See Lighting Instruc- tions, page 22.

1.After lighting, let pilot flame burn for about one minute. Turn control knob to ON position. Adjust flame adjustment knob anywhere between HI and LO. Slide the selector switch to the REMOTE position. Note: The burners may light if hand-held remote ON button was on when selector switch was last turned off. You can now turn the burners on and off with the hand-held remote control unit.

IMPORTANT: Do not leave the selector switch in the RE- MOTE position when the pilot is not lit. This will drain the battery.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to press the ON/OFF buttons on the hand-held remote control unit for up to 3 seconds to assure proper operation.

2.Press ON/OFF button to turn the burners on and off. When turning burners off, the pilot will remain lit.
