Additional DVD Information
Screen Saver
A screen saver appears when you leave the DVD+VCR in stop mode for about five minutes. After the screen saver has been active for about five minutes, the DVD+VCR will power off automatically.
Video Mode Setting DVD
With certain discs, the picture may flicker or you may see “dot crawl” along straight lines. This usually means that the unit’s vertical interpolation and/or de- interlace are not perfectly matched with the disc. If so, you may be able to improve picture quality by chang- ing the video mode.
To change the video mode, press and hold DISPLAY for about 3 seconds during disc playback. The new video mode number is displayed on the TV screen. Check whether the video quality has improved. If not, repeat the above procedure until picture quality is improved.
Video mode change sequence:
MODE1 → MODE2 → MODE3 → MODE4 →
MODE5 → MODE1
If you turn off the power, the video mode will revert to its initial state (MODE1).
