Understanding the basics
Turning your TV/DVD combo on or off
To turn your TV/DVD combo on or off:1Make sure that the power cord is connected to a
power outlet.
2Press (Power) to turn on your TV/DVD combo.
3 Press (Power) again to turn off your TV/DVD combo. Your TV/DVD combo enters Standby mode and the power indicator LED turns red.
Selecting the video input source
To select the video input source:1Turn on your TV/DVD combo, then press INPUT. The INPUT SOURCE list opens.
2Press INPUT repeatedly, or press or to select the video input source. Wait a few seconds for the TV/DVD combo to switch to your selection, or press ENTER/ to switch immediately.
Using the DVD player
Your TV/DVD combo’s
Warning
Keep your fingers clear of the disc slot when loading or unloading a disc. Neglecting to do so may cause serious personal injury.
To start disc playback:1Press (Power) to turn on the TV/DVD combo.
2Insert a DVD into the disc slot with the label facing forward. The DVD player reads the DVD and displays the opening screen.
The TV/DVD combo automatically switches to DVD mode. The “Loading” message appears for a few seconds.
If you loaded an audio CD, the file browser screen appears and music playback automatically starts. If you loaded a video CD or DVD and that disc has a root menu, this root menu is displayed. Press , , , or to navigate the menu options. If there is no root menu, video playback automatically starts.
Playback controls
•Press VOL+/VOL– to adjust playback volume.
•Press (Play/Pause) to temporarily suspend disc playback (still mode). Press it again to continue playback.
•Playback navigation controls:
•Press (Skip back) to play the previous title or track.
•Press (Fast reverse) to play in fast reverse direction.
•Press (Fast forward) to play in fast forward direction.
•Press (Skip forward) to play the next title or track.

To remove the disc:1Press (Eject) to unload the disc.
2Wait for the disc to be ejected, then remove the disc from the slot.
