Electricalconnections

Beforeconnecting the appliance,check that the
voltagequoted on the rating plate-thatis, theno-
minalvoltage of the appliance-correspondsto
the availablemainsvoltage.The rating platecan
be found on the baseof the ceramicglass hob.
. The mains connection must be carried out by an
expertelectrician.TheVDE-regulationsand the
validregulationsbytheelectricity supplyboards
haveto be compiledwith.
. Prior to connection it should be checked whether
the voltage stated on the rating plate-- i.e. the
nominalvoltageof the appliance-- isidenticalwith
the mains voltage.Therating plateislocated on
the base of the hob.
. The heating element voltage is 230 V ~. The
appliancewill alsoperfectlyperform withthe lo-
wer mains voltageof220 V~.
. The mains connection must be carried out in a
waythatan all-- poleinsulatingdeviceisexisting
with a contactopeningofatleast3mm,e.g.LS--
automatism,earth-- leakage circuit--breakeror
fuse.
. A wire of type H05VV-F or of higher rating is to be
used as supply cable.
. The mains terminal is located in the bottom of the
applianceundera plastic cover. It can beopened
using a screwdriver(see picture).
. Subject to the existing mains voltage, the ap-
pliance hastobe connected as shownopposite.
The links of the terminalblockmustbe changed
accordingly,ifappropriate.
. The earth conductor is to be connected to termi-
nal.Theearthconductor mustbe longerthan
liveleads.
. The cable connections have to be connected
as shownand theterminalscrewsbefirmly
tightened.
. Afterwards the supply cable has to be secured by
the cableclamp andthe cover mustbe fitted by
firmlypressing downuntil itengages.
Priortofirstuseremove anyexistinglabelsand
protectivefilmfromtheceramicglass plate orthe
frame of the hob.
Afterconnectingthe electricalsupply,all cooking
zones shouldbe briefly switched on one afterthe
otherat their maximumpower,in ordertotest
whethertheyareoperational.
