Speaker System Connection

Speaker System Connection

Connect the supplied speaker system using the supplied speaker cords by matching the colors of the terminals and those of the cords.

At the rear of each supplied speaker you will find two spring type connectors, a black one marked (-) and a red, blue and gray one marked (+).

_Connect the active Subwoofer to the RCA jack marked

woofer line out.

Required audio cable (supplied):

The speaker cables and connectors are color coded for easier set up (see page 13 for tips for connecting antenna and speakers wires).

_Connect the Front Left speaker to the FL terminals.

_Connect the Front Right speaker to the FR terminals.

_Connect the Center speaker to the C terminals.

_Connect the Surround Left speaker to the SL terminals.

_Connect the Surround Right speaker to the SR terminals. Required speaker cords (supplied):

To avoid short-circuiting the speakers

_Make sure the stripped end of each speaker cord does not touch another speaker terminal or the stripped end of another speaker cord.

Examples of poor connection of the speaker cord

_Stripped speaker cord is touching another speaker terminal.

Right Surround Speaker

Left Surround Speaker

_Stripped cords are touching each other due to excessive removal of insulation.

Note:

_Be sure to match the speaker cord to the appropriate terminal on the components: + to + and - to -. If the cords are reversed, the sound will be distorted and will lack bass.
