green,orsolidgreen).IftheRXLEDisoff,thereisnolink.Performthefollowingstepsuntilit

a. Checkthatthedeviceattheotherendofthelinkhaspowerturnedonandiscompatible.
b. Verifypropercrossoveroffiberstrandsbetweentheportonthemoduleandthefiber
opticdeviceattheotherendofthefiberopticlinksegment.
c. VerifythatthefiberopticcablemeetsthespecificationsoutlinedinAppendixAforthe
installedEthernetexpansionmodule.
ToremovetheSCcableconnectorfromtheinterfaceport,carefullypulltheconnectoroutofthe
port.Itmayneedtobeloosenedbygentlymovingfromsidetosidetoreleasethelatchingkeys.

adapterstoconnectaPC,aVTseriesterminal,oramodemtoanEnterasysNetworksmoduleto
accessLocalManagement.Thissectionalsoprovidesthepinoutassignmentsoftheadapters.
