Completing Installation of DFE-Diamond Module in an Existing System
InanestablishedDFEDiamondmodulesystem,
•aDFEDiamondmoduleisalreadyestablishedasthemanagementmodule,
•thepasswordshavealreadybeensetforvarioususers,
•thesystemIPaddressisset,and
•othersystemparametershavebeenset.
WhenyouinstallanewDFEDiamondmoduleintoasystemwithanexistingconfigured��user
account,thecurrentsystemsettingsinthataccountarealreadyrecognizedbythenew
DFEDiamondmoduleanditwilloperateaccordingly.
Ifyouneedtochangeanysettings,youcanconnectaterminaltothelocalconsoleportas
describedinConnectingtoCOMPortforLocalManagementonpage311toaccesssy stem
management,oruseaTelnetconnectiontoaccesstheDFEDiamondmodulesystemmanagement
asdescribedinChapter3oftheEnterasysMatrixDFEDiamond/PlatinumSeriesConfigurationGuide.

Logging in with an Administratively-Configured User Account

2. AtthePasswordprompt,enteryour password,pressENTER.

can use the set system login command to create and change user accounts, and the set
