5) SOOTING
Make sure log placement is
in the correct location.
Make sure there is sufficient
air supply.
Check air shutter on the venturi tube for proper primary air adjustment.

that on the rating plate.
Make sure outlet (manifold)
pressure is correct.
Make sure the unit has been
derated for high altitude
applications. (if required)
Check to make sure that the
vent is drafting properly.
Correct to manufactures
specifications.
Correct if necessary.
Outside air supply may be
required on
models.
Increase primary air.
Open air shutter.
Correct if necessary.
Use a manometer to check
the gas pressure.
