The Operate light does not come on.
Cause What to do
The scanner is off. Press the
P OPERATE button to turn
on the scanner.
The scanner is not
connected correctly.
Make sure the power cord is
connected to the scanner and plugged
into a power outlet.
The scanner does not scan.
Cause What to do
The scanner is not ready
to scan.
Wait until the READY light is green
(ready for scanning).
Interface port or software
settings are incorrect.
Make sure your interface port and
software settings are corrrect. Also
make sure that your computer’s
interface board in installed properly.
For SCSI model users :
SCSI ID or terminator is
incorrect .
Make sure the scanner’s SCSI ID and
terminator are set correctly. See
"Connecting the Scanner (SCSI) to
Your Computer" on page 1-11.
Interrupt settings are
conflicting with your
SCSI board.
If you have other expansion boards in
your computer, make sure that their
interrupt settings are interfering with
your SCSI board. See your computer’s
documentation for details.
