Electrical connection and requirements

Important!

Plug only into a grounded three-prong power outlet. Do not remove the grounding prong.

Do not use an adapter.

If codes permit the use of a separate grounding wire, it is recommended that a qualified electrician determine that the ground path is adequate.

Check with a qualified electrician if you are not sure whether the cooktop is properly grounded. Do NOT ground to a gas pipe.

A120-volt, 60-Hz, AC-only, 15 A, fused electrical supply is required.

Atime-delay fuse or circuit breaker is recommended. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only this appliance be provided.

The power outlet must be checked by a qualified electrician to see if it is wired with correct polarity.
