Detergent

Choosing the Right Detergent

We recommend the use of domestic detergents, (powder, liquid or tablets). Soap flakes, or
granulated soap powders should not be used.
Some detergents that contain built-in fabric softeners may not be suitable for your Intuitive, as
they can leave a deposit on the agitator and the outer tub.

How much Detergent?

The correct amount of detergent will vary depending on the amount of soil in your clothes;
(jeans and work clothes may need more detergent, while towels usually need less).
The agitator has five marks on its stem that indicate load size. Use the mark on the agitator,
closest to the top of your load, as a guide to the size of your load. The instructions on the back
of the detergent packet are a guide to the correct amount of detergent to use.

Adding the Detergent

Remove fabric softener dispenser.
Pour detergent down center of the agitator.
Some detergents MUST be fully dissolved before
adding to your machine.
Check the instructions on the detergent packet.
Pre-dissolving detergent when washing in cold
water can improve its performance.
TABLETS: Place the required number of tablets
down the center of the agitator. (Do not use the bag provided with the tablet products). For low
water level loads (i.e. washing 2 or 3 garments) do not place tablet down the agitator. Instead
place the tablet directly into the machine before adding your clothes.
Bleach
Before using bleach on any garments, check the clothing care labels
for special instructions

Liquid Bleach

Use half the recommended dose of bleach and dilute with water.
Remove the fabric softener dispenser and pour down the inside
edge of the agitator stem, in line with the fins.

Powdered Bleach

Pour half the recommended dose of powdered bleach into the
agitator with your detergent.
