COPYING A TAPE
You can copy recordings (such as home videos) from one tape to another using two VCRs.

VCR 1: To play back | VCR 2: To record |

1Connect the VCRs as shown.
2Insert the recorded cassette into VCR 1.
3Insert a blank tape into VCR 2.
4Set the desired recording speed on VCR 2.
5Turn on the TV and set it to channel 3 or 4. If you use this model as VCR 2 to record:
œPress the INPUT button on VCR 2 to select the rear input jacks.
The AV indicator “L1” is displayed instead of a channel number.
6Press the TV/VCR button on VCR 2 to select the VCR mode.
7Place VCR 2 in the record/pause mode.
8Press PLAY on VCR 1.
9When the tape in VCR 1 has reached the desired point, press (release) PAUSE/STILL on VCR 2. Recording begins.
FPress STOP (or STOP/EJECT on the front panel) on both VCRs when finished.
MAINTENANCE
Head Care and Cleaning
œUnder normal conditions, the heads should not require cleaning. If you suspect a problem, contact a
Cabinet Cleaning
œClean the outside of the cabinet with a clean, soft cloth, moistened with lukewarm water and wrung dry.
DO NOT USE SOLVENTS OR OTHER TYPES OF CLEANSERS. THESE CHEMICALS CAN CRACK OR DISCOLOR THE CABINET.
