Use the broil function to cook meats that require direct
exposure to heat for best browning results. When broiling,
always remember to arrange the oven racks while oven is
still cool. Position the oven rack as suggested in the broil
settings table (See Fig. 4).
Broil
1. Place the food on appropriate
cookware. If using a broiler pan with
an insert, remember to follow all
warnings and cautions.
2. Arrange the interior oven rack to
recommended position (Fig. 1 and
Fig. 4). For best browning results,
preheat oven for 5 minutes before
adding food.
3. Be sure to place food directly
under upper oven element. Leave the
oven door open to the broil position
(Fig. 2).
4. Press broil.
5. Press start (See Fig. 3)

*Use the offset or bottom oven rack if you choose to use rack position 7.
NOTE
Always pull the oven rack out to the stop position before
turning or removing the food.

Should an oven fire occur, close the oven door and turn
the oven OFF. If the fire continues, use a fire
extinguisher. DO NOT put water or flour on the fire. Flour
may be explosive.
