7.Refill the frypot(s) with clean water. Rinse the frypot(s) twice, drain and dry with a clean towel. Thoroughly remove all water from the frypot and elements before filling the frypot with cooking oil/shortening.

Remove all drops of water from the frypot before filling with cooking oil or shortening. Failure to do so will cause spattering of hot liquid when the oil or shortening is heated to cooking temperature.
5.1.4Clean Detachable Parts and Accessories – Weekly
Wipe all detachable parts and accessories with a clean, dry cloth. Use a clean cloth saturated with dishwashing detergent to remove accumulated carbonized oil/shortening on detachable parts and accessories. Rinse the parts and accessories thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry before reinstalling.
