Parts of the Camera

The Selector

Press the selector up (w), right (r), down (t), or left (e) to highlight items and press MENU/OK (q) to select. The up, left, right, and down buttons also double as the Fn3, Fn4, Fn5, and Fn6 buttons, respectively (P39, 41, 42, 43, 45).

The Indicator Lamp
When the viewfinder is not in use (P19), the indicator lamp shows camera status.		Indicator lamp
Indicator lamp	Camera status
Glows green	Focus locked.
Blinks green	Blur, focus, or exposure warning. Picture can be taken.
Blinks green and orange	Recording pictures. Additional pictures can be taken.
Glows orange	Recording pictures. No additional pictures can be taken at this time.
Blinks orange	Flash charging; flash will not fire when picture is taken.
Blinks red	Lens or memory error.

R Warnings may also appear in the display (P122).
