The Setup Menu

ASCREEN SET-UPAdjust display settings.

Option	Description
	Choose how long pictures are displayed in the LCD monitor after shoot-
	ing.
	• 3 SEC, 1.5 SEC: Pictures are displayed for three seconds (3 SEC) or 1.5 sec-
IMAGE DISP.	onds (1.5 SEC). Colors may differ slightly from those in the final image.
	• ZOOM (CONTINUOUS): Pictures are displayed until the MENU/OK button is
	pressed.
	• OFF: Pictures are not displayed after shooting.
LCD BRIGHTNESS	Control the brightness of the display.
MONITOR SUNLIGHT	Select ON to make the display in the monitor easier to read in bright light.
MODE

Choose the type of framing grid available in shooting mode.•FGRID 9: For “rule of thirds” composition.FRAMING GUIDLINE • GGRID 24: A six-by-four grid.

•HHD FRAMING: Frame HD pictures in the crop shown by the lines at the top and bottom of the display.

AUTOROTATE PB

Choose ON to automatically rotate“tall”(portrait-orientation) pictures during playback.

BACKGROUND COLOR Choose a color scheme.GUIDANCE DISPLAY Choose whether to display tool tips.If ON is selected for jFOCUS CHECK, the image will be magnified in the

FOCUS CHECK display to assist focus when the sub-command dial is rotated in manual focus mode (P62). The camera must be in manual focus mode.
